We are the charitable souls behind TV Asylum. We also think it's bizarre that Mike Seaver had a friend named Boner.

Water Cooler Wednesday

Here at TV Asylum, we don’t presume to be the experts. We don’t presume to be the authorities on TV and we’re not interested in ascending to an authority figure type role because, quite frankly, that just means less time to watch TV and we’re working SO hard to catch up with Mad Men right now.

Understanding that, we wanted to check in with you the loyal, faithful, beautiful, majestic readers and supporters of TV Asylum to find out what you’ve been watching, reading, listening to about TV.

We’re nothing if not a community collaborating about the best and worst from TV, so the floor is yours: please use the comments to recommend (or recoil) about anything concerning TV. It doesn’t have to be grandiose or a State of The Union address. Just tell us something you’ve been consuming and if it’s worth our time or not. We’ll go first.

  1. An Idiot Abroad is a hidden gem.

    1. Is that the show with the commoners’ version of Simon Pegg? My husband and I LOVE him.

  2. My son watches “Dog, the Bounty Hunter” on A&E in the morning while he eats his breakfast.  Immediately following the Dog, two episode of “Criminal Minds” are on.  I had never seen it before and now I’m hooked.  I’m like a junkie scouring the internet for back episodes for free.  Plus, I think I have little nerd crush on Reid.

Question for “Criminal Minds” watchers……Mandy Patinkin or Joe Mantegna?

    1. Adele says:

      Absolutely Mandy Patinkin!

  3. Knox McCoy says:

I’m catching up on Mad Men and I’m on Season 3 and it’s FANTASTIC. I realize I’m not breaking new ground but WHATEVER, it’s great.

  4. Molly Gentry says:

I finally got around to watching the BBC’s Sherlock with Martin Freeman and it’s wonderful. Expect a post about it before it comes back in May!

    1. Sarah Mac says:

Sherlock is fantastic. Did you watch both seasons (or series, as the Brits say)?

      Also, Luther. Luther is STELLAR.

  5. Amy Payne says:

I’d like to take this opportunity to point out that my predictions in my Snap Judgment of Missing (right after the pilot) came true. In the fourth episode. That kind of predictability does not bode well for this show. I’ve kept watching it, but your time could be better spent elsewhere.

  6. Adele says:

Sunday night was the premiere of ‘Touch’ here in Australia. I thought it was amazing.

    1. I’ve watched all episodes of it so far….about 3 I think.  I really like it, but a nice, non-insane Kiefer Sutherland is hard to handle.  I just hope the son says something at some point.  Just one word.  That’s all I ask.

  7. Pipin0510 says:

I started watching The Killing on amc . Can’t decide yet if I like or hate the running plot.
